I have a feeling Laurie and I would have gotten along swimmingly! Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to eat…a lot. McDonald’s burgers, stadium nachos, sushi, steaks…I don’t discriminate.
On Saturday, Cory and I were lucky enough to have a reservation at a cozy “underground” dinner. Let me tell you, bald chefs are IN. Tom Colicchio, meet Jay M., executive chef at Chez Ellison.

Saturday was just the start of a finger-lickin’ run of yummy foods. Here are the highlights:
- Sunday: Taco nachos at a high school cheer competition, followed by McDonald’s and a Drumstick later in the evening.
- Monday: Dinner at Sable Kitchen & Bar and Christmas cookies (including my fave “Orlando” Florida Cookies) by Gloria.
- Tonight: Dinner at Simply It – my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago.
